Raipur. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that the repairing works of the dilapidated hostel-ashram and school building of tribal areas done on priority basis. Addressing a meeting of Ttribal advisory Council here Baghel said that schools, hostels and ashrams have started after two years due to Corona, where repair work should be done promptly. In the meeting, The Chief Minister also directed to construct hostels for the children studying in Swami Atmanand English medium schools operating in tribal areas. Similarly, he directed to rationalize the teachers on the basis of the number of children registered in the schools.

The Chief Minister said that by organizing camps of Chhattisgarh State Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRI) in the tribal areas, after studying the problems being faced in issuing caste certificates, preparing a proposal in this regard and sending it to the Central Government. The instructions were given to the officers. In the meeting, the proposal presented in relation to the implementation of the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Upabandh (Extension of Scheduled Areas) Act-1996 (PESA Act) was unanimously approved. Similarly, approval of the Governor’s report on the administration of scheduled areas for the year 2020-21 was also done in the meeting. The report to be sent to the Governor approved in the meeting on the administration of scheduled areas, implementation of constitutional provisions for educational and social, economic promotion of scheduled tribes in the year 2020-21, details of major schemes implemented by various development departments in scheduled areas, state Demographic information of specially vulnerable tribes, the status of administrative unit and development works, implementation of Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act 2006 and Rules 2007 as amended, Rules 2012 are mentioned.

In the meeting, the officials told that in the meeting of the decision taken in the earlier meeting of the Tribal Advisory Council, the officials told that in compliance of the decision taken in the earlier meeting of the Tribal Advisory Council, survey work of 19 villages of Narayanpur district has been completed. It has been taken and the work of survey of two villages is under process. It was also informed in the meeting that till March 2022, 4 lakh 46 thousand 41 individual forest rights papers, 45 thousand 764 community forest rights, 3 thousand 516 community forest resource rights letters have been distributed. In this way a total of 4 lakh 95 thousand 455 forest rights letters have been distributed. According to the announcement of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, the district wise list has been issued by the General Administration Department regarding the appointment of 9623 educated youth of specially weaker tribal group in government service.

Singh, Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Mr. Prasanna R., Secretary, Energy Department, Mr. Ankit Anand, Secretary School Education Dr. S. Bharathidasan, Commissioner Tribal and Scheduled Castes Development Department Mrs. Shammi Abidi were present at the Chief Minister's residence. MLAs Sarvshree Vinay Bhagat, Shri Lakheshwar Baghel, Shri Brihaspati Singh, Shri Chintamani Maharaj, Smt. Devati Karma, Shri Brihaspat Singh, Shri Anoop Nag attended the meeting through video conferencing.
