पश्चिम बंगाल में ममता सरकार के मंत्री अखिल गिरि राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू के लुक पर कमेंट करते हुए कैमरे में कैद हो गए हैं. घटना नंदीग्राम में एक भीड़ को संबोधित करते हुए बताई जा रही है. अब इस घटना का वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर खूब वायरल हो रहा है. बीजेपी ने कड़ी निंदा की है. मामला अब राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग (एनसीडब्ल्यू) तक पहुंच गया है। दूसरी ओर, टीएमसी का दावा है कि मंत्री वास्तव में कह रहे थे कि टीएमसी लोगों को उनके लुक के लिए नहीं आंकती है। हालांकि इस पर मंत्री ने राष्ट्रपति का उदाहरण दिया। वहीं, बीजेपी ने दावा किया है कि ममता बनर्जी की कैबिनेट के महिला कल्याण विभाग की मंत्री शशि पंका भी उस वक्त मौजूद थीं.

शहीद दिवस समारोह के मौके पर नंदीग्राम विधानसभा क्षेत्र में अखिल गिरि विपक्ष के नेता सुवेंदु अधिकारी से भिड़ रहे थे. अधिकारी को चुनौती देते हुए अखिल गिरि ने राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू का नाम लिए बिना उन्हें घसीटा। उन्होंने कहा कि तृणमूल लोगों को उनके लुक से नहीं आंकती। “वह (सुवेंदु अधिकारी) कहते हैं कि मैं (अखिल गिरि) सुंदर नहीं हूं। वह कितना सुंदर है! हम लोगों को उनके रूप से नहीं आंकते हैं। हम आपके राष्ट्रपति की कुर्सी का सम्मान करते हैं। आपका राष्ट्रपति कैसा दिखता है?”

On the occasion of Martyr’s Day celebrations, Akhil Giri was fighting with Suvendu Adhikari, the leader of the opposition in Nandigram assembly constituency. Challenging the officer, Akhil Giri dragged President Draupadi Murmu without taking his name. He said that Trinamool does not judge people by their looks. “He (Suvendu Adhikari) says I (Akhil Giri) am not handsome. How handsome he is! We don’t judge people by their looks. We respect your President’s chair. What does your President look like?”

पश्चिम बंगाल में एक नया बवाल शुरू हो गया है. वीडियो को शेयर करते हुए पश्चिम बंगाल बीजेपी ने ममता बनर्जी और तृणमूल पर आदिवासी विरोधी होने का आरोप लगाया. इसमें लिखा था, ”राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू आदिवासी समुदाय से हैं. तृणमूल कांग्रेस के सुधार गृह मंत्री अखिल गिरि ने महिला कल्याण विभाग के एक अन्य मंत्री शशि पांजा की मौजूदगी में उनके बारे में आपत्तिजनक टिप्पणी की.”

It read, “President Draupadi Murmu belongs to the tribal community. Trinamool Congress’s Reform Home Minister Akhil Giri made objectionable remarks about her in the presence of another minister of women’s welfare department, Shashi Panja.
